For most people, things like child custody battles are extremely serious. Yes, the accusations tend to fly fast and furious in these situations, but as a rule, the mudslinging stays relatively private and the involved parties adhere to the rules set forth by the court and other ruling bodies.

And then there's Charlie Sheen.

Josh Brawlin'

Celebrity Slam is often populated by famous people who have a drink or three too many and wind up putting themselves in ridiculous situations. When they behave in ways that while not exactly the most savory are generally more embarrassing than endangering, wellthose are our absolute favorites.

The best of all is when these same celebrities manage to pull off not one, but two Slam-worthy adventures in the space of a single evening. Each individual event would be enough for them to grace this page, but they choose instead to keep on keeping on. These are the celebs who really take things to the next level, becoming embroiled in events so absurd that one wouldn't even dream of making them up.

Same old story

There are certain polarizing figures in the celebrity realm that act as lightning rods for our scorn and ire. These famous folks are seemingly incapable of behaving like rational human beings, despite having been reviled for previous actions. Actually it's probably because they simply haven't been reviled enough; these people have come to the not-inaccurate conclusion that as long as they continue to do well at whatever it was that made them famous in the first place, they don't actually have to learn any lessons, no matter what repulsive acts they might commit.

On a related note, Chris Brown is in the news again.

Card-carrying Kardashians

We've taken quite a few shots at the Kardashian family over the years; frankly, they've made it easy. And sure, sometimes we get a little tired of plucking such low-hanging fruit, but the simple truth is that Kim, Kris, Khloe and company say and do a lot of things that put them on our radar.

However, we haven't seen much of the younger siblings. Kendall and Kylie Jenner the biological kids from Kris Kardashian's marriage to Bruce Jenner haven't really been part of the celebrity picturemostly because they've been too young to get up to any real shenanigans.

The agony and the ecstasy

There's no disputing the simple truth that celebrities aren't always subject to the same rules as the rest of us. Their fame buys them a fair amount of leeway when it comes to actions and behaviors that would land us mere mortals in hot water.

However, laws aren't the same thing as rules. And like it or not, being in the spotlight doesn't always exempt them from being subject to the same legalities that the rest of us have to deal with - although the consequences might be a little less severe if you've been on TV.

Nothing compares 2 U

There's nothing quite as much fun as an online fight. Really, it's one of the joys of the always-connected internet age in which we live. Where once it took celebrities hours or even days to discover the smack being talked about them, they can now access it instantaneously. Sometimes, that can lead to some really delightful exchanges.

Most of the time, however, you get crap like the recent beef between Miley Cyrus and Sinead O'Connor.

Krazy Kanye

There's an ebb and flow to the items covered here at Celebrity Slam. While we're always on the lookout for new candidates, our bread and butter come to us via the repeat offenders. It runs in cycles.

Every few months, you can count on a weirdo freakout of epic proportions coming from a Charlie Sheen or a Randy Quaid. Maybe you have a run of particularly self-entitled douchery from a Kardashian or a Bieber. Or perhaps you get a long-term perfect storm of celebrity lunacy, one that is so prolonged that you eventually have to declare a moratorium (hi Lindsay!).

Hopeless wanderers

One of the things that often gets famous people into trouble is their insistence on believing that the rules don't apply to them. It's understandable they live their lives in bubbles filled with people paid specifically not to use the word 'no.' However, there are certain codes that are inviolable, no matter who you are.

Famous or not, you have to follow strip club etiquette. No matter how big a deal you are, there are ways to behave in these places. It's one of the most egalitarian places in the world in that respect; money buys certain privileges, but those privileges only extend so far. Sure, the rules can be bent from time to time, but you aren't the one who decides when and where that might happen.

Fitness fracas

Our disdain for the 'Real Housewives' franchise has been well-documented in this space. Of course, collecting a bunch of spoiled, entitled rich people in one place and turning the cameras on has created a wonderful Petri dish of celebrity misbehaviors.

For a given value of 'celebrity,' that is.

Chappelle's show

Any fan of comedy remembers the mind-blowing moment when they learned that Dave Chappelle walked away from his incredibly successful Comedy Central show 'Chappelle's Show' (along with a reported $50 million) back in 2005. Other than a few random appearances here and there, the comic has been largely dormant for the past five years.

This led to a good deal of excitement associated with the announcement of his return to stand-up this summer. Unfortunately, it turns out that things haven't gone quite as well as we might have hoped.
