If you’ve played video games in the past, you might know of a franchise called “The Elder Scrolls.” This game series is set in a fantasy world where medieval and magic/fantasy elements combine to create one of the most lore-driven universes in video gaming. If you haven’t had a chance to play any of the games of the series, there is now a free-to-play version on mobile called “The Elder Scrolls: Blades.”

“TES: Blades” is a first-person RPG that sees you as a soldier who returns to his hometown to find it destroyed. From then on, you set out on an adventure to assist in rebuilding your town. You do this through quests in various places such as dungeons, castles and more. As you rebuild your city, you get to customize it to your liking. To start off, you create your character and pick your playstyle, whether it be the classic sword and shield, an archer, or maybe even a magic-wielding mage.

The game then offers you three ways to play. They are called Abyss, Arena and Town. In Abyss, you must see how far you can get through a never-ending dungeon, slaying enemies and creatures along the way. Arena is a multiplayer mode, where you battle other players to determine who is the greatest champion. Last is the Town game mode. This is where you walk around your town and interact with characters to receive quests, as well as progressing your story. “TES: Blades” is a very pretty game, with colorful and sharp graphics, and it has a wonderful musical score to accompany it.

There is a lot to do and see in “The Elder Scrolls: Blades” – you’ll likely find it to be a great way to waste plenty of time. “TES: Blades” is free to download on the Android and IOS stores.
