Weekly Time Waster - ‘Hide Online’

One of my fondest memories as a young child was playing hide-and-seek around the neighborhood with my friends. We would hide in various places and one of us would try to find everybody. We'd hide anywhere. In the woods between houses, behind sheds; we probably made some people angry running through their yards!

But consider this - what if you could play hide-and-seek, only with the ability to turn yourself into everyday objects? Seeing as humans don't possess any type of transformative powers, we have to turn to the digital world to make those dreams come true.

“Hide Online” takes the premise of hide-and-seek and turns it into a prop hunt. One team is made up of the hunters. Their job is to walk around the map - which could be a house or a restaurant or whatever - and find the other players. These others, the hiders, are disguised as everyday objects. When you are hiding on the other team, you can disguise yourself as many different things; you could be food, chairs, tables - even a houseplant!

The hiders must escape the building and they are allowed to change into different objects as they scurry around. The difficulty is in not only figuring out the players’ disguises, but also in paying attention to the rooms to see if they have changed. Were there three glasses on that table last time? Did that couch move two feet over? Not remembering can cost your team the game!

“Hide Online” is free to download on the Android and IOS stores.
