According to our friend, the groundhog, spring is coming early this year. As I look out the window from my desk and see the snow falling in copious amounts, however, I don’t concur one bit with that outlook. Also - if we are looking forward to spring, then we must be looking forward to cutting our grass each and every week.

So until that time comes, why not get in some practice? We will do so in this week’s Time Waster, “Grass Cut.”

In “Grass Cut”, the developers took the simple mundane task of cutting grass and turned it into a really unique and somehow satisfying game. The objective of the game is simple: cut all the grass! Each level throws a different lawn setup of overgrown grass at you, and you must figure out the best strategy to cut it all.

Using simple one-touch gameplay, you must navigate around maps with bridges, islands, and different areas, which make you have to adapt the best strategy to cut the grass. You control two spinning blades, and each tap on your screen changes the direction they move in. As you mow, flowers will pop up here and there that give you bonus points if you hit them in time. You can also unlock different power-ups that allow you to either cut faster or extend the reach of your saw blades. With a nice cartoony aesthetic,

“Grass Cut” is extremely relaxing and is a great game to play in those briefer moments of downtime, so get that lawn mowing practice in before the snow melts!

“Grass Cut” is free to download on the Android and IOS stores.
