“Mario Kart” has been around for as long as I can remember. It holds plenty of dear memories from my childhood - sitting around the Nintendo 64 with friends, racing around a colorful map and shooting turtles at one another to determine who was the best. Nintendo has built up and refined “Mario Kart” over the years, but it’s never made its way onto mobile phones. There have been some fun rip-offs though.

The latest in the Kart Racing mobile scene is a game called “Beach Buggy Racing 2,” with many elements that you know and love from “Mario Kart.”

In “Beach Buggy Racing 2,” you play as one of many unlockable racers, trying to finish first while jumping over obstacles and firing weapons at one another. The weapons are picked up from floating bubbles – drive through, get a random weapon. You can then fire them on your opponents to move up and overtake them. There are over 45 different powerups and weapons that can be picked up.

The game has lots of fun and colorful locations, ranging from dragon-guarded castles to pirate shipwrecks - 19 tracks in total! There are also 40 different cars you can unlock, each with a different personality. The game also brings daily and weekly challenges to keep you occupied and help you gain some ground for that next unlock that you want. With lots of different drivers, cars and maps to conquer, “Beach Buggy Racing 2” has no lack of content. It certainly gives a “Mario Kart” feel that is missing on mobile phones.

“Beach Buggy Racing 2” is free to download on the Android and IOS stores!
