We’ve all watched “Jurassic Park” and pictured ourselves trying to survive amongst the dinosaurs. Maybe you’ve even imagined yourself riding a dinosaur into the sunset, as a dinosaur would make the coolest pet that you could possibly have. Well, what if I told you that you could finally attempt to live that dream?

This week, we dive into the world of “ARK: Survival Evolved” to find out if you have what it takes to rule the dinosaurs.

This game has been out for a while now, on both gaming consoles and computers all over the world. For the first time however, we can play it in the palm of our hands, and perhaps most importantly, unlike its counterparts, it’s free.

“ARK” puts you into a massive open world full of over 80 different dinosaurs, either alone in single player, or with 100 human survivors in multiplayer. Starting naked, afraid and with a pair of fists, you must craft the necessary tools and weapons to survive, and build a shelter/base to live in. As you progress, you can eventually tame dinosaurs, and use them as transportation, as well as construction tools for hauling materials, or fetching food. You’re responsible for maintaining your hunger, thirst and health - it is a true survival game by nature. When playing with others, meet up to form tribes and work together, defend your base against dinosaurs or wage war against other tribes. You can explore the many biomes the map has to offer - by land, sea or even air.

Go have the dinosaur adventure you’ve always dreamed about. “ARK: Survival Evolved” is free to download on the Android and IOS stores.
