After all these years of playing billiards at various places in the Bangor area, I wondered if there were any games related to such an activity on my phone. And so I stumbled upon a game called “8 Ball Pool.” Apparently, I am extremely late to this party, and I don’t know why I didn’t find this game sooner.

“8 Ball Pool” is a free-to-play multiplayer pool game. With over 100 million downloads on the Android store alone, you will always have someone to play against. The game is extremely simple to play, which also makes it extremely addictive. With a very nice colorful art scheme, and a realistic physics system, sinking both easy and tricky shots into a corner pocket really makes you feel accomplished.

With fun also comes tension. Especially when one or both players have a shot on the eight ball. With a functioning leaderboard and lots of customization options to define your personality through your pool cue, you can try your hardest to rise to the top. As you win or lose, you’ll always find yourself saying “just one more game.”

Whether you’re a casual pool player or you play about as often as you go to the dentist, “8 Ball Pool” offers fun to all players. With many people playing, you can test your skills against the digital billiards world.

"8 Ball Pool" is free to play on, as well as free to download on the Android and IOS store.
