They're hidden under there

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Police are looking for suspects who stole hundreds of pairs of panties from a lingerie store in Boca Raton's Town Center mall.

Boca Raton police say about 600 pairs of panties worth an estimated $6,300 were stolen from Victoria's Secret last week.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports the thefts came nine days after police arrested two Miami-Dade County women linked to an elaborate fraud that has targeted Victoria's Secret stores across South Florida since October.

Police say surveillance video shows two women stealing the panties around 2:30 a.m. on March 9. Investigators haven't said whether the women are linked to the lingerie ring.

Days of our Wives

TACOMA, Wash. - A Washington state corrections officer has been charged with bigamy after Facebook discovered two women were connected to him and suggested they might want to be 'friends.'

Pierce County prosecutors say Alan L. O'Neill married a woman in 2001, moved out in 2009, changed his name and remarried without divorcing wife No. 1.

Wife No. 1 recently found out about Wife No. 2 when Facebook detected their connection to O'Neill and suggested the friendship connection.

Wife No. 1 then called the defendant's mother, Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist told The News Tribune.

'An hour later the defendant arrived at (Wife No. 1's) apartment, and she asked him several times if they were divorced,' court records show. 'The defendant said, `No, we are still married.'

The fickle finger of fate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Albuquerque police say a robbery suspect may have left a piece of his finger behind at a robbery crime scene.

KRQE-TV reports that police arrived to an Albuquerque smoke shop after a report of shots fired at a robbery.

According to authorities, the suspect fled but they believed he left behind his severed fingertip.

Police think the fleeing suspect may have shot off his own finger.

Authorities say a finger print will be taken from the severed finger.

No arrests have been made.

TME That robber must be a sharp guy he didn't miss the point.

Ill-gotten dinner

MADISON, Wisconsin - A U.S. man who claimed to be the new manager of a chain restaurant and cooked himself a cheeseburger and fries is facing charges.

Police say 52-year-old James Summers, wearing a tie and carrying a briefcase, claimed he was sent by the Denny's corporate office Tuesday to be the new manager at a restaurant in Wisconsin. The current manager told him he must have the wrong restaurant. Summers told her she apparently had not received the memo about the change in leadership.

Authorities say the manager called her supervisors while Summers helped himself to a meal. WISC-TV says police were summoned and took Summers into custody. Officers say they found a stun gun on his belt.

Summers is charged with disorderly conduct, drug possession and possessing an electric weapon.

TME - That seems like an awful lot of work just for a Denny's cheeseburger.

Follow that bird!

SOUTH HERO, Vermont - An elusive emu on the lam in Vermont has been amusing residents in communities on Lake Champlain.

The 150-pound flightless bird looks like a small ostrich. It has been spotted wandering here and there in Grand Isle and South Hero since it escaped from a local farm five weeks ago.

It was spotted again Friday outside the South Hero elementary school, where it walked by a window of the principal's office. School worker Steve Berard tried to lasso it with an extension cord, but it broke free.

The emu's owner tells WCAX-TV he bought three emus for his grandchildren but they don't make great pets.

He's taken out an ad in a local newspaper saying, 'Free emu if you can capture it.'

TME Who would have thought an emu would be a flight risk?
