Bridge Alliance and area establishments host Pride Festivities

BANGOR A week of fun activities and celebration are planned as members of the LBGTA (lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgendered and allies) show their pride during a week-long Pride festival, culminating with the Pride parade on June 30 at 11 a.m., sponsored by Queen City Pride.

From 12 noon until 6 p.m. there will be music, vendors, and fun for the whole family at Pickering Square. At 2 p.m. there will be a mass wedding for all who wish to participate.

'We want all of our straight friends to come out and support it,' said Greg Music, vice president of the Bridge Alliance.

The event is to help the LGBT community and their straight allies feel more comfortable in the community.
