Broadway's The Lion King' goes VR

NEW YORK 'The Lion King' on Broadway is offering fans a view of the musical that even the very best seat in the theater can't rival.

The Disney stage blockbuster on Wednesday released 360-degree footage of its opening song 'Circle of Life' that lets users look left, right, up, backstage and at the audience, even when sitting on a couch.

NEW YORK It's taken six years for Matthew Morrison to get back on Broadway so it's no surprise he knows a thing or two about where he ended up.

The former 'Glee' star happily offered a peek at his storied dressing room in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. This was the theater where 'The Sound of Music' was first staged, where Carol Channing starred in 'Hello, Dolly!' Elizabeth Taylor had a bath in the back when she was here in 1983.

Singer k.d. lang on Broadway

NEW YORK If you're a little surprised to discover that alt-country star k.d. lang is coming to Broadway, so is lang.

'It is outside my comfort zone. It is something that I never thought I'd be doing,' the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter says. 'I just try to follow my heart and my muse and the opportunities that arise for me and what's inspiring me.'

NEW YORK Before Spider-Man takes his final bow on Broadway this weekend, the show is swinging into history in another way.

Producers of 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark' said Thursday that the Smithsonian Institution is inducting one of the hero's first costumes into the permanent collection at the National Museum of American History in Washington.
