Incubator Without Walls combines online classes

BANGOR - MaineStream Finance is offering the Incubator Without Walls (IWW) course, which helps individuals start or expand businesses with five or fewer employees. The course stresses that good management, effective marketing and financial controls lead to increased profits, and that business planning leads to business growth, profits and personal satisfaction.

The Incubator Without Walls (IWW) course will offer some of its classes online. The first class will be held in a classroom setting on Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. at Penquis, 262 Harlow St., Bangor. The initial class will provide an opportunity to meet the instructor and others taking the course and provide the schedule and needed information to participate in the online classes. 'By offering some of the classes online, it will save travel time and expense for participants, hopefully allowing greater participation of those for whom time and travel may be a barrier to participation,' said James Macomber, microenterprise consultant, MaineStream Finance.
