Maine Troop Greeters create pavilion and garden at BIA

BANGOR - The Bangor International Airport is expanding. The new facility now has a landscaped garden and pavilion on site thanks to the Maine Troop Greeters and the generosity of several area businesses.

"This is a constant reminder of the patriotism shown every day by our troop greeters," said Tony Caruso, interim director at BIA.

Airport officials decided Flag Day would be the perfect time to show off the new addition to the public.

"I want to thank each and every one of you," said Congressman Mike Michaud during a ribbon cutting ceremony. "This pavilion will certainly enhance the time that the soldiers are here."
