MADISON - Lori Finney of Madison is spending quite a bit of time this Christmas reliving one of her favorite childhood memories while helping to sweeten the holiday season for those around her. Finney learned at a young age how to make candy wreaths thanks to a family friend. Now over 20 years later she's back at it again, only this time she's assembling them as gifts for others to give to their loved ones.

"I was trying to raise money for the Trek Across Maine last year, so I decided to make them and see if I could raise [any] funds. I sold them for $10 and there was a huge interest," said Finney. "I am not doing the Trek this year, but I figured I would see if people wanted any because they make great gifts."
It didn't take long for orders to start rolling in. Finney made 10 candy wreaths just during a Sunday snowstorm.
