BANGOR Jeff Neal's story about becoming the drummer of Boston reads like a fairy tale. You know, the kind where there's a lot of hard work involved, but in the end a little twist of fate doesn't go awry.

'It's totally right-place, right-time. For me, I spent a lot of years prepping for if an opportunity ever became available and I was extremely lucky to be in the right place at the right time,' he said in an interview before his show.

He said that he was playing at a gig at Sunday River in the fall of 2002 for a band called Punch Bug.
