Arts in the Park

BELFAST - Next weekend, July 13 to 14, Belfast will hold its annual Arts in the Park festival. The event will be held in the Heritage Park nestled right on the banks of the Passagassawakeag River. Sailboats and dinghies dotting Belfast Bay make up the backdrop. In its 18th year, the festival promises a day long activities, art, music and food. It's a great event to visit with family and kids or solo, for the day or a quick visit.

This year the Arts in the Park Committee and Jury selected 85 applicants out of the pool of artists that submitted work for showing. Many different medias are represented. From paintings and photography, to jewelry, craft objects and recycled goods, there is something to pique everyone's interest. There will be clothing and bags, glasses and jugs. Purchase something as a gift, or get a souvenir.
