BANGOR - The Bangor Dog Park is less than a year old and it's already looking to expand. The park located on Watchmaker Street has been a great spot for canines to socialize and exercise while their owners look on. Now, the nonprofit Friends of The Bangor Dog Park say they are ready to work on Phase II of the park. A spaghetti dinner and silent auction is planned for Thursday, Oct. 24 at the park in order to help defray the cost of the work needed on site.

"We have enough money to expand the large dog area hopefully before the snow flies," said Dawnette Carver, volunteer and member of Friends of The Bangor Dog Park. "This fundraiser will hopefully let us put in a training yard, so if you want to do some agility or even a little one-on-one with your dog if it's not socialized, you can."
