Expectations

The 2014 wedding season is officially here and it is going to be a busy one. There are a lot of hairdressers who don't really love to do updos, but I am not one of them. Next to haircolor, formal hair styling is my favorite thing to do. It really allows me to be creative and each style that I do is different. I do find that each wedding season has its own trends, and they carry through the entire season. This year's trends are loose and romantic.

As much as I love formal hair styling, there are a few things about styling hair for weddings and events that I don't like. My goal with this article is to help you avoid those mistakes and situations.

Don't set yourself up for failure

I see it time and time again: clients who walk in the door of the salon and will not be satisfied when they leave. That is one of the hardest parts of my job. I love what I do, truly. I am confident and educated enough to be able to execute just about anything thrown my way. There are just many situations where no matter how great of a job I do, the client isn't going to be happy.

Don't let this be you the next time you walk into a salon. You should leave happy and feeling great with the best hairstyle for you and your hair. I want each of you be able to go to your next hair appointment and leave with the style that you have always wanted.
