Woman assaulted in Bangor

BANGOR Bangor Police are investigating an assault that took place early Monday morning. 

On Oct. 7, around 6:55 a.m., a passerby called 911 and told dispatch that there was a woman on the side of Hancock Street, near the entrance to Eastern Maine Medical Center's Weber Building parking lot.

Maine State Police seek robbery suspect

GLENBURN Maine State Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a robbery suspect who stole money from The Checkout Market, located on the Pushaw Road in Glenburn.

Police say the robbery took place on Sept. 8 around 1:24 a.m. The white male suspect entered the store, threatened the clerk and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured. The robber was seen running from the store and getting into the pictured vehicle.

Attempted robbery in Brewer

BREWER The Brewer Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at the Circle K on North Main Street.

On Sept. 3, around 5:26 a.m., police responded to the convenience store and learned that a suspect, described as a white woman, approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall, weighing around 100 pounds, dressed in blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt with a white Nike simple and a blue fleece under the sweatshirt, entered the store. The woman passed the clerk a note demanding money and indicating she was in possession of a firearm. The clerk refused to provide the money and the suspect fled on foot, traveling toward the North Brewer Shopping Center.

Police are asking that anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a woman fitting the suspect's description to call the Brewer Police Department at 989-7001 and speak with Det. Kristie Bouchard or Det. Sgt. Anthony Pinette.

Gunshot fired during scuffle outside bar

BANGOR Bangor Police are investigating an incident involving a reported gunshot. Authorities are asking for anyone with information to come forward.

On Aug. 25, around 12:45 a.m., someone reported a gunshot victim in the area of Main, Water and Middle streets. Officer Shawn Green and other officers responded to the area, and witnesses pointed out a handgun magazine in the road, indicating that the suspect had fled down Columbia Street.
