Three arrested following home invasions

VEAZIE/ORRINGTON- Three people were arrested last week following a string of home invasions in Orrington and Veazie. Veazie police started investigating a number burglaries and home invasions back on April 11. One of the many items stolen included a firearm. Meanwhile, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office was busy investigating the same string of crimes in the town of Orrington. After the authorities from both departments joined forces, a joint investigation began which led police to the home of 22-year-old William Cushman of Brewer. On Friday, April 18 Cushman was arrested for his alleged involvement in the burglaries along with 23-year-old Randall Cressey and 18-year-old Courtney Braley, both of Bangor. Authorities believe more arrests could be made as the investigation continues.
