Mississippi man assaults bowling alley employee
BANGOR - A man from Raleigh, Mississippi was arrested for felonious assault after he allegedly attacked an employee leaving a local bowling alley.

On Feb. 19, around 2 a.m., Officer Kyle Pelkey and back up units were dispatched to Family Fun Bowling Alley to the report of a 911 call made to send help there immediately.

An employee was leaving for the evening when he was reportedly attacked by Randy Barner, 30, of Raleigh, Miss. with a tire iron after the employee refused to let him into the bowling alley after hours.

Barner was uncooperative with police and was placed under arrest. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail, and a bag with a white substance was located on his person. It tested presumptively positive for cocaine. He was charged with class B aggravated assault, burglary to a motor vehicle (the tire iron had been removed from the employees truck), and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

'I was such a mess. I lost 40 pounds in three weeks. I usually weigh about 145 pounds but I was down to 105. I knew very well that I was close to death. According to the police report, I thanked the officer for arresting me. I told him I was an addict and couldn't get clean and he was probably saving my life.' - Jesse, 27 of Bangor. Recovering bath salts user.
