Bangor bomb dog retires

BANGOR - The Bangor Police Department said goodbye to one of its furry comrades last month. Endumin, a Belgian Malinois and one of the first explosive detection canines to be assigned to the Bangor International Airport, has retired. He and his handler, Officer Dan Scripture, spent most of the past five years patrolling BIA or assisting the Bangor Bomb Squad.

"We thank Endumin for his years of service and wish him many years of happy retirement," said Anthony Caruso, BIA director. "Although it might only be five years, in dog years it's about 35, so thank you."
