Bald is beautiful

I wanted to re-run this article due to the increase of people that I've heard of lately fighting cancer. So many of us are also in a bit of a funk lately from this long, cold winter and sometimes just need a little perspective.

I consider myself lucky to have a job that I love. I chose to become a cosmetologist because it was more important to me that I love going to work every day than how much money I made each week. I can honestly say, as I approach the 13 year mark, that I still feel that way. Being able to impact people's lives, make their day and give them confidence by making their hair look its best really is the best job in my opinion. I have met some pretty amazing people in the last 13 years and a lot of them still come see me every six weeks. There is however, one part of my job that I can say I hate, and that is shaving the heads of beautiful, strong, amazing women faced with the battle of their life after being told they have cancer.
