ORONO - The Planetarium is kicking off the new year with four star-studded programs for visitors of all ages. Come explore the cosmos with public star shows every Friday night at 7 and Sunday afternoon at 2.
On Friday evenings, experience the attraction of black holes while exploring the history, physics, and mysteries of such astronomical wonders. 'Black Holes' allows viewers to perceive the reality-bending phenomena of these fascinating graveyards of deceased stars on Jan. 29. 'Cosmic Journey,' on Jan. 22, brings viewers on a trip through our solar system, exploring majestic volcanoes and monstrous hurricanes, all while taking in the wonders of these planets and their moons.
