BREWER The next two weekend's performances will be the culmination of months of hard work from Next Generation Theatre's middle age AND teen groups same show, different direction! Like so many girls her age, little Dorothy Gale of Kansas dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy's imagination.

Performance dates are: Friday, May 6th and 13th at 6:00 p.m.; Saturday, May 7th and 14th at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday, May 8th and 15th at 1:00 p.m.

Going on its tenth year, Next Generation Theatre has been bringing the magic of theatre and the arts into the lives of children and driving on its mission to make the arts accessible to as many children in the local area as possible. Hundreds of children have attended the theatre sessions since Between Friends Art Center opened in 2007. Many have progressed from the youngest age group to interns and teen directors, truly finding a home in the theatre. Now they are giving back to the next generation of children following in their footsteps by teaching them the many skills they have learned over the years.

Tickets are $7 per adult and $4 per child (under the age of 17). Please call (207) 989-7100 to reserve or purchase tickets.

The show's first weekend will be performed by the middle age group, consisting of children ages 10 to 15. The second weekend, the teen group made up of actors age 13 to 17, will perform. Please specify which show you would like to see when ordering tickets.
