Fundraiser for Camp Capella moved to Sept. 19

HERMON/DEDHAM Camp Capella has rescheduled its Touch-A-Truck event to be held at Speedway 95 in Hermon. Originally set for Sept. 12, the fundraising event will take place on Sept 19, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The event is geared toward families with children who have a keen interest in large equipment, and it gives them a chance to see them up close and personal. Touch-A-Truck helps raise money for Camp Capella, which allows people with physical or developmental disabilities or enjoy the incredible outdoors.

'All the proceeds [From Touch-A-Truck] helps pay for the summer experiences. That's why it's so important,' said Dana Mosher, executive director of Camp Capella. 'Kids have a great time.'

Currently, event organizers are looking for more businesses to volunteer the use of their trucks and equipment and to give demonstrations at the Touch-A-Truck event.

'This is a wonderful event for children, and it's a low-cost event for family,' said Mosher.

Tickets for the Touch-a-Truck event are $5 per person or $20 for a family of five. For more information about Camp Capella, visit their website at or call 843-5104. If you're looking to volunteer some equipment, ask for Dana or Heidi.
