ORONO On Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., learn how to make your own affordable screen prints with instructor Annette S. Dodd. Dodd will introduce three methods for screen printing on both paper and cloth. Students will leave with several original works, and a firm understanding of the fundamentals of screen printing. Even better, participants will have a screen to take home to continue their practice.

In addition to co-owning The Rock & Art Shop and Sohns Gallery, Dodd has taught art in public school for nearly a decade. She has a strong background in graphic design and an extensive personal portfolio - her Greetings from Bangor, Maine mural is on permanent display downtown.

All materials are included in the registration fee ($40 for Museum of Art members; $50 for non-members), but students are asked to bring in a cloth item that they would like to use for their fabric print. Come learn this age-old tradition from a dynamic local artist, and use these new skills to create original holiday gifts you can make from home!
