Romancing Weld' illustrates little town's enchanting beauty through one family's experiences, scenic photos

WELD Author Arnold Sturtevant's Maine family has treasured a seven-generation love affair with scenic Weld. In conjunction with the little town's 2016 bicentennial-year celebration, Sturtevant tells his family's tale of being part of Weld's history for well over half of its 200-year span in 'Romancing Weld' (published by Trafford Publishing).

This book extols the natural beauty of the town of Weld. Through one family's experiences and scores of full-page colored scenic photographs that gives abundant proof of its enchanting beauty, it illustrates why the little town has much to rejoice about.

'This book will appeal to all who already know Weld and will be inspired by the 75 full-page color photographs and joyous stories of places and things they have shared with me,' Sturtevant says. 'It will also attract interest from inquisitive minds who likes to learn about and perhaps even want to travel to new and exciting places.'

Through the publication of 'Romancing Weld,' Sturtevant would like readers to be convinced of what he believes is the irresistible beauty of a little town. He would like them to be motivated to declare her worth to others and to be compelled to do all possible means to protect her from despoilment.
