Red carpet hair Red carpet hair

Award season is in full swing. I don't know about you, but I just look forward to watching the red carpet pre-show. I love seeing what everyone is wearing and especially what the hair trends are going to be each year. Even though we may not have an event as big as this, we can take notice and use the trends we see in our everyday lives.

I was very happy to see that the classic hairstyles are back. When I use the word 'classic,' think 'old Hollywood.' The looks are much smoother and simple whether the hair is left down or pulled up. Hair is smoother and more polished. In my opinion you can't go wrong with a style like this. The rest of your outfit can and will really shine when hair is left simple and polished.

When it comes to updos, we are seeing hair pulled up and away from the face. I happen to love this look and find it very refreshing. Even if your hair is short, you can also try styling the hair up and away from your face. Doing this is going to give the illusion of your hair being long and up. It is an easy way to change your look and immediately look dressed up. I think after years of us all having some sort of side bang or full on bangs, it is refreshing to pull your hair back out of your face for a night on the town. This is a look that instantly makes you look younger. There are many ways in which you can wear your hair back out of your face, but the more it looks effortless, the better.

The looks that go down the red carpet are as influential as the runway. This is a great tool for you to get inspiration and ideas for your outfits and your hairstyles. It doesn't mean you copy an exact look, but rather use it as a tool to switch up your look. It's a new year and spring is on its way (I promise). Now is the perfect time for a new look and new you.
