Those who are looking for beautiful hand-created gifts will find a beautiful selection of artisan goods in the form of jewelry and fiber wares. Jewelers from all over the state are offering adornments created with a variety of techniques and materials. Beaded jewelry using many of today's newest and most innovative techniques will of course be available. However, fine silver, beach glass, handmade lampwork glass and precious metal clay jewels will also be featured. The array of finished fiber goods at the show includes clothing and accessories, dishtowels, bags and totes, change purses, handknits, housewares, felted ornaments and more.
In so many ways this is an entirely unique event. While there are many craft shows in Maine, and also occasional fiber events like the Maine Fiber Frolic, this is the only non-agricultural show event in Maine to feature the combination of fine craft, beads and fiber supplies. This unusual combination provides an unprecedented opportunity to stock up on supplies, talk with artisans and vendors knowledgeable in the latest fiber and bead wares or simply purchase a special finished piece of jewelry or fiber art created by a local artisan. A wealth of knowledge and skill is available at the show in the form of the vendors present. The following vendors will be participating: Priscilla Wentworth (handmade polymer clay beads & jewelry), Margaret Hagopian-Slack (beads & jewelry), Mary Eaton (handwovens & jewelry), Diane Allen (beads & jewelry), Sihaya Hopkins (handmade glass beads & jewelry), Barbara Fernald (beads & jewelry), Janelle Delicata (precious metal clay jewelry), Jenny King (beads & jewelry), Erlynne Kitagawa (felted animals & beadwork), Doris Walsh (handspun yarn, handknits & jewelry), Tina Beachy (handmade Lampwork glass beads & jewelry), Bead Biz (imported Czech glass beads and handspun yarn), Barbara Fleming (beads & jewelry), Ellen Pride (jewelry), Jennifer Miller (fabric wares & beads), Sharon Broom (beads & jewelry), Kathleen Henderson (handmade glass beads), Ashley Faulkingham (jewelry), Kathy Gearhart (knitted and crocheted hats), Marcie Amory (dichroic glass jewelry), Cullen Concannon (silver and stone jewelry), Julie Jones (handspun yarn and hand knits), Jodi Clayton (felted accessories, yarn, and roving), Robin Byrne (felted gift items) and Christina Heiniger (beads & jewelry).
