Sanders expects the fight against Davis to be tough, and he also hopes it will help clear the air in their ongoing feud.
'This is going to be the toughest fight of my career. I'm so excited. He is a huge opponent for me,' said Sanders. 'With Marcus Davis, his name in the MMA community carries so much weight and it will just catapult me if I beat him and beat him convincingly.'
Sanders feels like his reach may give him some advantage in this weekend's bout, but knows better than to think anything is a given.
'He's got great hands. He's been boxing since he was 14 and I have to worry about that,' said Sanders. 'He's a pretty strong guy and he's been in the game for a while and knows the ins and outs of strength training.'
This is the first fight of the season at NEF MMA in Lewiston. For more information, you can find them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/New.England.Fights or www.newenglandfights.com.
