Week 7 was my first sub-.500 week of the season. Considering my track record, that's quite remarkable in and of itself. However, Stella did me one better, beating me by a single game yet again and bumping her lead back up to two games.
We split on five matchups and were dead even going into Sunday's afternoon games, where our last disagreement Pittsburgh/Baltimore was playing out. I had faith in the Ravens, while Stella believed that the Steelers were ready to break out of their winless slide.
She was right, of course. And predictably adorable in her triumph.
This time around, we're at odds in four games. Carolina/Tampa Bay; Dallas/Detroit; Pittsburgh/Oakland; Atlanta/Arizona if we split these picks, it will be status quo. However, if I manage to take three or four of the four, I am right back in this race. On the other hand, if Stella goes big here, my job will get a whole lot harder.
But hey that's why they play the games.
