ST. FRANCIS Police are still looking for Jesse Marquis, 38, who is considered armed and dangerous. He is wanted in connection with the murder of his long-time girlfriend.
FBI offers $5,000 reward for info leading to arrest of bank robber
BANGOR/CORINTH/ELLSWORTH/ORONO The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a robbery suspect that is connected to at least four area bank robberies.
Unnamed donor drops off hand-made bears
ELLSWORTH An unnamed elderly woman donated hand-crafted stuffed bears for the Maine State Police to hand out to children who are in crisis. She promised to make more and bring them in a couple of weeks.

OLD TOWN An Old Town man who was arrested on nine outstanding warrants reportedly attempted to tell police who wasn't the wanted man.
Three arrested following home invasions
VEAZIE/ORRINGTON- Three people were arrested last week following a string of home invasions in Orrington and Veazie. Veazie police started investigating a number burglaries and home invasions back on April 11. One of the many items stolen included a firearm. Meanwhile, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office was busy investigating the same string of crimes in the town of Orrington. After the authorities from both departments joined forces, a joint investigation began which led police to the home of 22-year-old William Cushman of Brewer. On Friday, April 18 Cushman was arrested for his alleged involvement in the burglaries along with 23-year-old Randall Cressey and 18-year-old Courtney Braley, both of Bangor. Authorities believe more arrests could be made as the investigation continues.

BANGOR Police are investigating a string of burglaries to vehicles and residents that occurred last week.
Texting behind the wheel leads to arrest
CORINTH - A 47-year-old Corinth man was arrested over the weekend after texting behind the wheel. Authorities say Brian Barnes was traveling along the West Corinth Road around 9:15 p.m. Friday night when he lost control of his vehicle while texting and struck a utility pole. His vehicle then rolled down the snow bank before finally coming to a stop. When officers from the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, Barnes not only admitted he had been drinking but that he was on his way to meet a lady. Subsequently, Barnes was arrested, taken to the Penobscot County Jail and charged with operating under the influence and refusing to submit to arrest.
