On June 10, 2013, Herbert entered the store, reportedly assaulted Thoner and fled the scene with money. Pinette obtained a search warrant for a Bangor residence and seized evidence relating to this crime. 

Long weekend

OLD TOWN A Greenbush teen was arrested twice for violating a criminal trespass order in the same weekend. 

On June 21, Officer Josh Loring was patrolling the downtown area when he saw people skateboarding in the park, which is in violation of city ordinances. When he went to speak with them he recognized Zachary Buck, 18, of Greenbush, who was skateboarding away. Loring had to return to his cruiser to catch up with him, and informed him it was illegal to skateboard in the park. He learned that Buck had been issued a criminal trespass warning to stay out of the park due to past incidents and was placed under arrest for criminal trespassing. 

The next evening around 10:45 p.m., Loring was again on patrol and saw some people in the playground on Perkins Avenue. The park closes at 10:30, so he went to inform them that it was closed and again found Buck with another juvenile, who had an injury to his face.

Since he had been arrested the other day, Buck had an outstanding criminal trespass warning to stay out of all the parks in Old Town. Buck told Loring that he was there to help his friend who had sustained the injury. Loring called for backup and convinced the juvenile to go to the hospital for an evaluation. Officers arrived and Loring informed them that Buck was to be arrested for the trespass.

Buck refused to submit, but was taken into custody after a brief struggle. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and charged with violation of conditions of release, criminal trespass and refusal to submit to arrest or detention.

Man hides stolen goods in bushes; it doesn't work out

BREWER A Bangor man is facing charges of theft after he reportedly tried to hide some stolen goods in the bushes near Beef O'Brady's on Wilson Street in Brewer. 

On June 17, around 9:26 a.m., someone reported seeing Jason Blake, 23, of Bangor concealing something in the bushes. Cpl. Liz Kelley detained Blake and recovered the basket, which contained stolen DVDs from Wal-Mart. Cpl. Kelley and Officer Fred Luce contacted Wal-Mart and watched surveillance video which reportedly showed Blake taking the DVDs.

He was charged with theft and violation of conditions of release.

Couple arrested on drug charges

OLD TOWN A man and woman from Lagrange are facing charges after being arrested in the parking lot of a Rite Aid when police found heroin in the truck.

On June 23, around 5:40 p.m., Officer Josh Loring was called to the Rite Aid for the report of suspicious activity. The caller had reported a man and a woman who appeared to be 'messed up' near a pickup truck at the Rite Aid. When the officer arrived, he didn't see anyone at the truck. Officer Christine McAvoy arrived to assist, and then a man exited the store, followed by a woman. They were identified as Chad Fogg, 31, and Nichole Cassetta, 30, both of Lagrange.

Fogg had bail conditions that indicated he had to submit to searches without probable cause. Police located two hypodermic needles loaded with a brownish liquid and three baggies containing a brownish substance, later determined to be heroin. Though he denied it, officers determined that Fogg owned the car, but Cassetta claimed that the drugs belonged to her, according to police. Both were arrested and taken to Penobscot County Jail.

Fogg was charged with unlawful possession of schedule W drug and violation of conditions of release. Cassetta was charged with unlawful possession of schedule W drug and operating after suspension.

Wake up, you're under arrest

BREWER Two people from Bangor had a rude awakening when someone called police to report them passed out in their vehicle, and police learned both had active warrants for arrest. 

Cpl. Liz Kelly and Officer Fred Luce responded to a car that was parked on Maple Street, the caller indicated that the two people inside we passed out. Police found Jesse Reed, 29, and Patricha Cloukey, 32, both of Bangor, inside. They learned that both had active warrants for arrest and took them into custody.

Cloukey was in possession of numerous syringes and Reed had a pipe. Cloukey was charged with illegal possession of hypodermic apparatuses and Reed was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
