Publisher of The Maine Edge in negotiations to sell paper
BANGOR, Maine - Michael Fern, the publisher of The Maine Edge, recently announced that he is in serious negotiations to sell the publication to a firm in Boston.

The local arts and entertainment weekly has been in print since 2006, and it is uncertain what will happen to the current employees.
 
"It was a difficult decision, but one that I ultimately needed to consider," said Fern. "Due to the current economic climate, things have been challenging."
