Maine potatoes will be the official potatoes utilized in the Cross Insurance Center's various concessions and catered events. A feature of the food service at the facility will be a baked potato bar, offering baked Maine potatoes and a variety of toppings, always a very popular food choice.

'We're excited to be partnering with this new facility, which will attract people not only from the Bangor region but also from New England, Atlantic Canada, and beyond. The Maine Potato Board looks forward to this partnership and the further promotion of the Maine potato,' added Flannery.

Global Spectrum's Mike Dyer, general manager of the Cross Insurance Center, indicated that the facility is pleased to be working with a key Maine industry.  

'We realize the importance of the agricultural community in Maine, and in particular our state's leading agricultural industry, the Maine potato industry. We look forward to our partnership with the Maine Potato Board and hope that it may serve as a model for other partnerships as we commence this relationship with Maine potato growers,' Dyer said.
