Maroon 5 – “Red Pill Blues” (222/Interscope; Nov. 3)

Reliable hitmakers for 15 years, Maroon 5 has readied its sixth album, and the first in three years, for early November release. “Red Pill Blues” will have a standard-issue 10-track version as well as a 15-track deluxe edition (containing recent hits “Don’t Wanna Know” and “Cold”). Lead singer Adam Levine tag-teamed with prolific songwriter J. Kash on the album’s production.

Taylor Swift – “Reputation” (Big Machine; Nov. 10)

Taylor’s last one (“1989,” released in 2014) racked up more than 10 million in sales. Can she do it again? I think we know the answer. At only 27, Swift is not only a savvy media manipulator, she possesses an uncanny ability to see herself as others do. And she knows what her fans want to hear. Swift has forged some unique alliances for “Reputation,” including deals with Target, UPS and Ticketmaster.

Walk The Moon – “What If Nothing” (RCA; Nov. 10)

Swift’s album release date caused a few labels to alter plans for November 10. Walk The Moon’s third RCA album is one of the few expected biggies which dares to compete for expendable income on that day. “What if Nothing” will feature 13 new tracks co-written by each member of the band, including lead single “One Foot.” The Ohio band’s “Press Restart” tour will launch in North Carolina on November 19.

Barenaked Ladies – “Fake Nudes” (Vangaurd; Nov. 17)

As the iconic Canadian band approaches its 30th anniversary, they’ll issue another collection of fun, tuneful and humorous meditations on life, love and the Great White North. BNL recorded “Fake Nudes,” their 12th album, last winter in Toronto. In case you missed it: the band issued a wonderful collaboration with legendary vocal group The Persuasions earlier this year and a superb live album last year (“BNL Rocks Red Rocks”).

Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings – “Soul of a Woman” (Daptone; Nov. 17)

It’s hard to believe that Jones’s one-of-a-kind voice was silenced nearly one year ago, following a lengthy battle with cancer. A few months earlier, she graced the stage of Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion when The Dap Kings opened for Daryl Hall & John Oates. Jones’s final album was recorded in Brooklyn with the Dap Kings, and is described as a “lush, orchestral masterpiece.”

Bob Seger – “I Knew You When” (Capitol; Nov. 17)

Seger’s 18th studio album is dedicated to the memory of Glenn Frey and includes a mix of original songs and covers of material by other greats who left us too soon, including Lou Reed and Leonard Cohen. The deluxe edition (with three extra songs) closes with Seger’s Frey tribute “Glenn Song,” first released through his website last January.

U2 – “Songs of Experience” (Island/Interscope; Dec. 1)

U2 has been talking about this album for so long, I feel like I’ve already heard it. A companion record to 2014’s “Songs of Innocence,” “…Experience” will feature a collection of letters written by Bono for people and places close to his heart. Originally on the release docket for late last year, the band says they rewrote and re-recorded some of the material to make it more stage-friendly, as well as to reflect an unspecified recent health scare for Bono.
