'A former member battled childhood cancer and she was the inspiration [for this event,]' said Conor Sweeny, who is organizing the show. 'She really inspired us by giving us an outlook of what children go through when they are going through cancer.'
Proceeds from the show will benefit the Easter Maine Medical Center's Pediatric Oncology program, specifically to allow children receiving cancer treatments to be able to access music, movies, books or games during their stay at the facilities.
'We want people to know they are supporting a really good cause. The pediatric oncologists at Eastern Maine Medical Center have a really good program,' said Sweeny. He added he wanted people to know that 'Husson University students care and do our best to support the community and support non-profit causes within the community.'
