The Dancing Gauchos The Dancing Gauchos

ELLSWORTH - Argentina comes to The Grand on Tuesday, March 12. Sergio and Martha Martinez are The Dancing Gauchos in a first-ever Live for $5 performance in downtown Ellsworth. Their breathtaking routines entertain and educate the audience about the Argentina's gauchos and Spanish culture on March 12 at 7 p.m.

Boleadoras, fire, whips and riveting percussion are the mesmerizing skills the award-winning Dancing Gauchos have mastered with unrivaled precision, speed and flair, their performances climaxing to a crescendo of gripping entertainment. Bursting with raw energy, they merge the element of danger represented by Boleadoras (a perilous spinning weapon stemming back to prehistoric origins) with the passionate Malabo, a captivating form of Argentinean footwork inspired by Flamenco and Irish step-dancing. To this stunning array they integrate intricate drumming, dazzling costumes and spirited wit and humor. The LA Times declared The Dancing Gauchos 'a sure way to drive audiences loco!'

So bring a friend and share the experience of The Dancing Gauchos by calling The Grand box office at 667-9500. Tickets are $5 per person.

This performance celebrates The Grand's 75th anniversary, a series of events marking the Grand's history of showcasing the best performing arts - including theatre, film, music, live comedy and more.
