BANGOR The wait is over. Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will perform at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion for one night only, Thursday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m., as part of Jimmy Buffett's I Don't Know Tour 2016.

Local Parrotheads won't want to miss their chance to soak in the full Margaritaville experience.

"We are thrilled to have Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band visit Bangor this summer," said Alex Gray of Waterfront Concerts. "This is a concert that we have been working towards for many years! Do not miss out on this party. Truly the must see concert of the season!"

Parrotheads have already given the 'Fins Up' for the first ever floating Margaritaville Restaurant and 5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar aboard the all new Norwegian Cruise Line, Norwegian Escape. It's based in Miami and sails the Caribbean Sea. Meanwhile, back on land, the idea of turning Margaritaville into a musical has been percolating for quite a while but now it's gearing up to make its debut in the near future. It will feature the music and lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett, from an original story. Get your shaker of salt ready!

Tickets go on sale for the general public on Feb. 12 at 12 noon.

Tickets range from $36 to $136 (Plus fees). Reserved seating and general admission tickets are available.

Tickets available via waterfrontconcerts.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or at the box office located at Mark's Music in Brewer. There is an eight-ticket limit per customer.
