Until very recently, Bangor Community Theatre, established in 1951, had been homeless, with nowhere to perform. Seeking a stage to continue the tradition of community theater in the greater Bangor area, BCT approached the Bangor Grangers to rent their stage for their production of 'Who's On First, A Nightmare Comedy' last October. The Bangor Grangers welcomed BCT with open arms and the relationship has flourished. Several of BCT's board members have since joined the Grange and the organizations are now teaming up to serve many different areas in our community.

Bangor Community Theatre is very pleased to announce that with help from The Grange, renovations to the stage and The Grange hall are in progress. BCT's next show, Things My Mother Taught ME, will open on March 31 at The Bangor Grange Hall, located at 1192 Ohio Street, for a run through April 10. Renovations to the stage and other areas of The Grange are in progress and we are all hoping to showcase all the wonderful work that this partnership has begun.

The next great collaboration between the Bangor Grangers and Bangor Community Theatre will be a show entitled 'Polterheist,'a murder mystery comedy where the audience chooses the murderer. The show will be held from September 23 through October 1 and will help fund The Grange's Annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus. All the proceeds from the combined events will benefit the Maine Make-A-Wish Foundation.
