After an enormous weight loss week, the contestants on NBC's 'The Biggest Loser' were faced with the frustrating news that only one person's weight on each of the three teams would count during the weigh-in of week two. If that wasn't unsettling enough, the one individual that would represent their team would be determined just prior to the weigh-in with a roll of the die by their coaches - Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels and Dolvett Quince. Those three individuals were Hap Holmstead for the blue team, Fernanda Abarca for the white team and Tanya Winfield for the red team. Unfortunately, Abarca dropped the least amount of weight among the three and was the first contestant to be eliminated this season. I had the chance to speak with Abarca by phone following the show and learned that despite her short stay on 'The Biggest Loser,' she is successfully keeping up with her weight loss goals.

TME: With the trainers getting to pick their teams [this season], do you think Jillian was the best trainer for you out of the options?

Abarca: Absolutely. I loved Jillian from the start. I've been a huge fan of hers for a really long time and I'm somebody who works really good under pressure. I knew she would push me to my limits and push me beyond my comfort zone, which is what I needed in order to make a change.

TME: Viewers got to see Jillian say that luck isn't usually on her side, so she didn't like this idea of rolling the dice [at the weigh-in]. Did you feel the same way?

Abarca: Absolutely. I have the worst luck on the face of the planet. Even during the challenge we made a deal as a team: whoever gets there first rolls the dice. I rolled it three times and every single time I got a one. It was just horrible. I said I'm not touching that thing ever again.

TME: What did you learn to enjoy the most as far as the exercises you were given from Jillian?

Abarca: Believe it or not it has been running. Before I started the show, I couldn't run two minutes. Now every morning I'm running seven miles. It's wonderful and I'm proud of myself to be able to accomplish that.

'The Biggest Loser' airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
