From blogs to videos to social media posts, content creation is essential to marketing your business today. Equally important is promoting your content. You may think that simply publishing a post on your blog is enough, but it's not. There are many different channels on which to promote your content and reach a larger audience.

Here are four ways to promote your content to get the most views:

Social media

Sharing is caring on social media. Once published, share your blog post through all of the social media channels you use. You can promote the post differently depending on the format of the different channels and the character limits they allow for posts. To make sure your content is found, attach a hashtag to it.

Mailing lists

The contacts on your mailing list are you and your content's best friends. Include your latest blog posts on your newsletter so they will be delivered straight to your contacts' inboxes. Time the newsletter based on your needs, whether it be weekly or monthly. As with any message you send out, remember your email etiquette.


There are many services out there that will promote user-generated content across the Internet using ads placed on other websites. This service, called content syndication, can be done for free or fairly inexpensively. Some services even pay users for their content.


Every social media platform offers paid advertising for users' content. Even if money is tight, there are affordable options for advertising. You can boost posts on Facebook for as little as $5 per day. Just be sure to pick the content that is most worthy of your investment to promote in this way.
