ELLSWORTH The Grand announces 'Love and Mercy' as the next film in its new weekly Autumn CineGrand series, screening on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are for general admission seating for each movie and are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for Grand members.

'Surfin' Safari'... 'Surfing U.S.A.'... 'Good Vibrations'... the list of hits that 'The Beach Boys' had go on and on... but what was on the other side of those impeccable harmonies and immaculately-crafted melodies? In this look at the dark side of some of the sunniest rock and roll ever written, the audience is presented with an unconventional portrait of Brian Wilson (Paul Dano as the young Wilson and John Cusack as the middle-aged Wilson), the mercurial singer, songwriter and leader of a band critics called 'the American Beatles.' Set against the era-defining catalog of Wilson's music, the film intimately examines the personal voyage and ultimate salvation of the icon whose success came at extraordinary personal cost. With Elizabeth Banks, Paul Giamatti and Joanna Going.
