Dear Todd Parker - (07/14/15)

A long-time friend of mine and I just got a place together. We've known each other for years, but this is our first time as roommates. We get along great, have plenty of similar interests and enjoy one another's company. So far, everything is going smoothly.

Wellalmost everything.

Dear Todd Parker - (07/08/15)

After eight long years in college, I finally graduated this May with my Ph.D. I'm entering a very competitive job market, but I'm not too worried. I was a lot closer to the top of my class than the bottom. That's not what I'm writing about.

My girlfriend and I have been together for over ten years. We started dating in our junior year of high school. For most of undergraduate school, she was our primary support. Since I started grad school, she's basically been our sole support. She worked and I went to school. The plan was for me to get my Ph.D. and graduate, then find a job. After that, she was going to start thinking about grad school herself.

Dear Todd Parker - (07/01/15)

I live in a nice neighborhood in Bangor. I don't have a lot of contact with the people who live around me, but that's usually fine. I'm someone who prefers to spend most of his time alone anyway.

The only point when things are less than ideal is around this time of the year. There are two or three households in my general vicinity who really get into the whole 4th of July thing. Specifically the fireworks.

Dear Todd Parker,

I'm a recent graduate from one of the local universities. My time in school has been a lot of fun, but I'm ready to make my move into the real world and see what happens next.

My problem is my boyfriend. See, we've been together for the last couple of years, and I care about him very much. However, he's at least a year behind me; he won't graduate until next May at the earliest.

Dear Todd Parker - (06/03/15)

I've been living with a couple of friends of mine for about a year. We've all known each other for a really long time and sharing a house has been a great experience. Honestly, I'm not sure that I've ever had a better living situation.

Up until now.

Dear Todd Parker,

I've exhausted all of my other avenues for advice. As much as I hate the idea of asking a stranger for help, maybe you can bring a new perspective to my situation. I work for a small company that is in the process of becoming much larger; they're bringing in a lot of new people to help manage the increasing workload.

My problem is simple enough: my new boss is driving me crazy.

Dear Todd Parker - (04/15/15)

I have what you'd probably consider an etiquette question, but there's no one I can really turn to in order to ask it.

My husband and I have been friends with another married couple for about five years now. This couple we'll call them 'Bob' and 'Alice' hit some rough times late last year and separated. We all figured this was just a precursor for divorce.

Dear Todd Parker - (04/08/15)

I recently found myself in an incredibly awkward situation and I can't figure out what to do. I've asked all of my friends and we just can't come to any sort of consensus as to what the right move should be.

I was out at a bar a couple of weeks ago, catching up with some friends after work. I got up to go to the bathroom and spotted this dude I knew from way back; hadn't seen the guy in years, but I used to hang out with him and his wife quite a bit.

Dear Todd Parker - (03/25/15)

This isn't going to be your typical letter, but this seemed like something that you should really know about.

My boyfriend and I are regular readers of yours. We've followed you almost from the beginning. We've always enjoyed what you bring to the table. You make us laugh even though you're a pretty big jerk.

Dear Todd Parker - (03/18/15)

Ever have one of those moments when you learn something about yourself and you wish you hadn't?

There's this guy that I know from back in the day. We aren't all that close anymore, although we still talk every once in a great while. He's always been a pretty good dude, but not the kind of guy you would think would be destined for great things.
