A beach house rental checklist

REHOBOTH, Delaware My husband and I have vacationed at the beach in Rehoboth, Delaware, with our dogs for many years. We always stayed at a pet-friendly inn, except for one weekend at a condo. Nobody told us to bring our own bedsheets and towels, though, so an emergency shopping trip was needed before we could go to sleep.

There are times when people consider me as someone who is cheap because I use coupons, sometimes spend months shopping around for the best prices, or because I return to stores for price adjustments when items come on sale. However, because I am a person who chooses to manage my money and spend it wisely I consider myself as frugal. There is always that battle between cheap vs. frugal.

Slacking is good for business

I read a Facebook post from a business owner who said he and his family were about to end their 'stay-cation' and gear their business back up for the new year. He further reflected on feeling burned out after a hectic holiday season and how they needed a break. I can relate. I too have taken a January break from my business, and now I'm feeling ready to fire it up for the new year.

Who needs a vacation?

Many college students use the time between the fall and spring semesters to catch up on relaxation or just spend time doing leisurely activities without worrying about assignments or tests. But then there are other students who for one reason or another decide to take winter courses, which at Husson University are offered online.

Professor Cornel Plebani teaches criminal justice at Husson University and is teaching criminology over the winter term online. He doesn't see as much of a difference between the physical classroom and the cyber classroom.
