The Sports Edge - My sports bucket list

It seems ever since "The Bucket List," starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, came out a couple of years ago, everyone has been working on their own bucket list. For the record, a bucket list is a list of things you hope to accomplish before you kick the bucket.

I recently reconnected with an old (she will not appreciate that word) high school friend through the wondrous technology that is Facebook. She told me she had put together a bucket list. It contained very reasonable items such as visit Niagara Falls and vacation in Hawaii. Her list got me thinking; maybe I should assemble a sports bucket list. As the song says, "The lines on my face are getting clearer."

Here's what I have come up with in no particular order:

Hit a hole in one: If I play golf long enough, it should happen. Former UMaine women's basketball coach Peter Gavett has hit two this year alone. A couple of weeks ago some 6-year-old girl in Illinois sank one. It seems like I'm entitled to at least one.

Visit the new Yankee Stadium and Wrigley Field: Shame on me for not getting to the old Yankee Stadium before they leveled it. I'm pretty sure I can get to the new on sometime in the next couple of years. Wrigley might be a little more difficult, but I do have a scheme. My wife went to college at Northwestern in Chicago. Maybe I can convince her we'll be taking a kind of family vacation.

Walk on the grass at Fenway Park, and go tap on the door leading into the Green Monster: Now that Manny is gone I'm not sure who will answer it, but it would be fun to find out.

Drive a harness racing horse: I've enjoyed harness racing since I was a kid. My dad would make the trips a few times a summer from MDI to Bass Park to watch the races and place a few bets. It occurred to me a couple of years ago that I would really love to drive one of those horses around the track a couple of times. Not in a race, just for fun. Giddyup!

See the Bruins win the Stanley Cup: Wait, what? That already happened? Sweet! I was afraid that was all a dream. OK, check that one off.

Learn to ice skate: I usually try to hibernate in the winter, but I think it would be fun to take my twin girls to a local ice arena skating. However, it will be wicked embarrassing if I land on my butt after just five seconds. So I'm going to have to get a little rink time in soon.

Announce a basketball game on the radio in the new auditorium: Since 1988 I've called more than a hundred tournament games in the old Mecca. No question, lots of great memories. But I am hopeful to be part of the christening of a new building in a few years. And I'm going to work into my call a catch phrase: "Arena Yes!"

See the Patriots play the Cowboys in the Super bowl: I have no control over this, but it's my dream to see the Patriots play Dallas in a super bowl and blowout the boys by about 50 points.

Fix my golf swing so I don't slice: Actually, forget this one. It'll take a couple of lifetimes to accomplish that feat.

That's my list. If you have additions or thoughts, feel free to drop me an e mail.

A striptease is a sexual or unique virtua girl hd dance where the performer gradually undresses, either partly or totally, in a sexy and sexually suggestive way. [1] The person who performs a striptease is typically referred to as a "stripper" or exotic dancer. In Western countries, the places where erotic dances are carried out on a regular basis are now typically called strip clubs, though they may be performed in venues such as clubs (especially in the UK), theaters and music halls. Sometimes, a stripper may be hired to carry out at a bachelor or bachelorette celebration. In addition to supplying adult home entertainment, removing can be a form of sexual play between partners. This can be done as an impromptu occasion or-- maybe for a special event-- with intricate planning including dream wear, music, unique lighting, practiced dance relocations, or unrehearsed dance moves.Striptease includes a slow, sensuous undressing. The stripper might extend the undressing with postponing techniques such as the wearing of additional clothes or putting clothes or hands in front of simply undressed body parts such as the breasts or genitalia. The emphasis is on the act of undressing along with sexually suggestive motion, rather than the state of being undressed. In the past, the performance frequently finished as soon as the undressing was completed, though today's strippers generally continue dancing in the nude. [2] [3] The costume the stripper wears prior to disrobing can form part of the act. Sometimes, audience interaction can form part of the act, with audience advising the stripper to remove more clothes, or the stripper approaching the audience to interact with them.Striptease and public nudity have gone through legal and cultural restrictions and other visual considerations and taboos. Limitations on places might be through location licensing requirements and constraints and a wide range of nationwide and local laws. These laws differ substantially all over the world, and even in between different parts of the very same country.H. L. Mencken is credited with coining the word ecdysiast-- from "ecdysis", implying "to molt"-- in action to a demand from striptease artist Georgia Sothern, for a "more dignified" way to describe her profession. Gypsy Rose Lee, one of the most famous striptease artists of all time, authorized of the term.

I 'd personally likewise like to say that the majority of people that find themselves with out medical insurance are normally trainees, self-employed and those that are laid-off. Over half on the uninsured are truly under the age of 35. They do not experience they are wanting medical insurance given that they're young in addition to healthy. Their particular income is generally invested in residential or commercial property, food, and home entertainment. Many people that do go to work either full or part-time are not offered insurance by their jobs so they get along without due to the rising expense of medical insurance in the usa. Thanks for the pointers you discuss through your blog site
