ORONO - The Third Watch hockey team has invited the public to join them for a benefit hockey game vs. the UMaine Selects (Tim Whitehead, Jack Cosgrove and Bob Corkum, to name a few). They are playing hockey to raise money for the Leroy Patterson Scholarship Fund. The game is slated for April 1 at 6 p.m. at the Alfond Arena. Admission is free and donations at the door are welcome.
Third Watch is a group of emergency personnel who enjoy playing hockey. They play to raise money for great charities and to just have fun. The 2011 -2012 season marks their 12th season as a team. The team plays in a men's league in Brewer and we also have a travel team for fund-raising events. To date they have raised over $110,000 dollars for various charitable organizations.
