It appears the Gota tribe on the CBS reality show Survivor: Caramoan is a team divided rather than a team united. The 10 team mates were sent to tribal council after losing the immunity challenge to the former Survivor players that make up the Bikal tribe.

In the season's second episode, viewers saw Reynold reveal to the entire tribe that he found the hidden immunity idol. But tempers flared more over the laziness of Shamar, an Iraq war veteran, who appears to be using his time in the game as a vacation rather than contributing to camp life and winning challenges. When the votes were cast, Shamar was spared by one vote. However, the same couldn't be said for Allie Pohevitz, a 25-year-old bartender from New York. I recently spoke with Pohevitz about her time on the show and whether or not she was blindsided by the tribe's vote to send her home.

The Maine Edge: Did you know you were going home or feel like you were being targeted as the next contestant to go?

Pohevitz: I wasn't really shocked. We had a rough day right before tribal so I knew it [the vote] was coming.

TME: Did you know Reynold had the hidden immunity idol and do you wish you would've asked for it to protect yourself from going home?

Pohevitz: I knew he had the idol. It wasn't a secret between the two of us. He did offer it to me that night and I'm an idiot [for not taking it]. But if I had grabbed it and the votes went to Reynold and he went home, I couldn't live with myself.

TME: Your alliance wanted to get rid of Shamar. Do you believe lounging around camp so he wouldn't come across as a threat was his strategy as he claims?

Pohevitz: No, I think he knew he wouldn't be able to do anything around camp. You can't possibly be playing 24/7 like that. That's who you are but I can't criticize his game that much because he lasted longer than me.

TME: This is 'Fans vs. Favorites' season 2. So who is your favorite past Survivor contestant?

Pohevitz: I'm a huge fan of Mike Skupin and I would've loved to work with Corinne or Malcolm [had I made the merge]. Watching Malcolm's old season, I love him. He's awesome.

Survivor: Caramoan airs every Wednesday night on CBS at 8 p.m.
