A special needs teen takes the leading role in "Wicked Good," a novel written by sisters Joanne Lewis and Amy Faircloth Lewis. While readers follow Rory and his adoptive mother through their adventure of finding Rory's birth parents, they also learn about the stigma and difficulties surrounding autism.

The book has received acclaim for the accurate portrayal of an autistic teen and his adoptive, single-mother. The Kindle version is listed in the top 100 books on special needs.

Dr. Alberto Gamarra, Ph.D., nationally certified school psychologist, said the book is "A refreshing and realistic glimpse into the daily internal and external struggles that parents of exceptional children go through."

Co-authors Joanne and Amy drew upon Amy's true life experience raising a special needs child. The novel reflects both the fierce love and the daily frustration in this special relationship. The authors will be touring the Internet with Women on Writing Sept. 12 through Oct. 7 and are available for interviews and speaking engagements. For more information, go to www.amyandjoanne.com or join them on Sept. 12 at Women on Writing http://muffin.wow-womenonwriting.com/.

"Wicked Good" is available for Kindle, Nook, and in hardcover at Amazon and Barnes & Noble or may be purchased at www.amyandjoanne.com.
